The League relies solely on the support and generosity of local citizens and businesses to fund these projects. The league hosts two annual fundraisers, The Nutcracker Tea, which takes place during the holiday season; and their annual fundraising Gala. The Palestine Junior Service League allocates a generous portion of its annual funds to many local charities and organizations in Anderson County. As the league grew it begin to organize community based projects of its own, which to date include: Reagan Park Project: For the past 6 years the League has partnered with the City of Palestine to improve Reagan Park. With the help and generosity of the community we have completed the first two phases of our long term plan. Back to School Fair: League members pass out backpacks, filled with school supplies, to qualifying students in Anderson County. Arts: The Palestine Junior Service League hosts an annual theater production for schools in Anderson County, in an effort to promote the arts. Spread the Warmth: The Palestine Junior Service League communicates with area school teachers and counselors to target children in need to provide them with a new or gently used coat.
